Who doesn’t love omelettes ? Omelettes; eggs beaten with fillings inside then folded over to make a half circle. You can customize an omelette to your heart desires. It can just be cheese. It can be all veggies or all meat. I prefer a little bit of both. So here is my recipe for one of my favorite omelettes.
What you’ll need:
2 eggs
Milk
1/2 cup of spinach
3 oz of cooked steak (I use frozen steak fajitas from Walmart)
3/4 cup of cheese
Salt & Pepper
What to do:
- Get a skillet and spray with canola oil or put in butter. Turn the fire on a low setting
- Get a small bowl and crack both eggs and pour a splash of milk. Sprinkle in salt and pepper. Beat the eggs with a fork until there is no visible egg whites.
- Pour mixture in the skillet. And enjoy the sound of the sizzle.
- Once the egg is half cooked and put it spinach, steak, and part of your cheese on one side of your egg.
- Use a fork to lift up the sides of the egg slightly so when it’s time to flip you will not struggle.
- Once the egg is fully cooked, take your spatula and fold over the side with no toppings onto the side with the topping.
- Spread the remainder of the cheese on top and let it heat for thirty more seconds.
- You’re done ! Put your masterpiece on a plate and enjoy.
Lazy recipe (for those days you want a good meal but little work)
Same ingredients as above but no need to measure. We’re too lazy for that. We know how much is enough.
- Get you skillet and spray it down. Don’t turn on the fire yet.
- Crack your eggs straight into the pan, with your splash of milk. Don’t forget to sprinkle in that salt and pepper. Beat those eggs right in the skillet.
- Turn on the fire on a low medium setting and dump in your fillings.
- Wait until your egg is fully cooked and use a spatula or two forks to flip it over.
- If you want to use a plate, move your omelette to plate or eat it right out of the skillet. Just make sure your don’t put it on anything that will burn, i.e a plastic dinner mat.
